Kerman Mandolin Quartet

About

The Kerman Mandolin Quartet, which bears the name of the Israeli luthier Arik Kerman, aims to produce new interpretations of pieces originally written for string quartets. Kerman Quartet consists of two mandolins, a mandola, and a mandocello, instruments from the same family, all perfected by the same builder. Each Kerman Quartet project seeks the highest level of players to push these exquisite instruments to new limits. The quartet has already performed throughout Israel and Europe and its repertoire covers everything from Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi to Françaix, Kaufmann, Bartok and Glass.

The Kerman Mandolin Quartet, which bears the name of the Israeli luthier Arik Kerman, is formed of four internationally acclaimed solo mandolinists: Jacob Reuven from Israel, Fabio Gallucci from Italy, Vincent Beer-Demander from France and Mari Carmen Simon from Spain.
